Organic Grass Fed Beef Short Ribs (Small End) Cuts [Two Pound Package]
Excellent meaty ribs. I usually boil/slow simmer mine in a big stock pot on top of the stove until very tender (I don’t think you can over cook ribs, even grass fed, when boiling – I probably simmer mine 2-3 hours). Remove ribs from the pot with tongs & when cooled down a bit, place in a large zip lock bag or other container and shake or toss with seasonings, a little vinegar or coconut vinegar for “zip”, and freeze. We take these camping to cook on our fire pit. The broth from boiling the rib meat can be used for soup, or used instead of water for rice, etc. The ribs are tasty even without much if any seasoning, but you can use whatever you like – salt, pepper, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and so on. The packages are a convenient size & the ribs “grow” or plump up when you cook them. For a large meal for 2 hungry adults (with leftovers enough for another smaller meal), I do 2 packages. Plan 1 to 1 1/2 pounds per adult person depending how much other food is being served with the ribs.
